Heather CSW-PIP, QMHP

Heather Law is a Certified Social Worker in Private Independent Practice (CSW-PIP) specializing in therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and adolescents. She applies an integrative, person-centered approach along with evidence-based techniques to establish robust therapeutic alliances. Heather fosters a nurturing environment where clients feel secure to explore vulnerabilities and navigate towards personal growth and resilience.

With a Master of Social Work (MSW) and background in psychology and medical assisting, Heather brings a diverse skill set to her practice. Her experience as an Army combat medic and reservist enriches her work with military and veteran clients, including their families. Heather has served clients through the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs, the Vet Center, and non-profit organizations, offering specialized services such as military sexual trauma counseling and community outreach.

Heather specializes in treating diverse mental health concerns, offering expertise in anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD recovery, relationship dynamics, sexual health, LGBTQ2S+ empowerment, and adolescent development. Her approach integrates evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique needs, fostering healing, growth, and resilience across a broad spectrum of psychological challenges. 

Licensed as a Certified Social Worker in Private Independent Practice (CSW-PIP) in South Dakota, licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey, and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). She has received training in Mental Health First Aid and Mindfulness-based Ecotherapy, and maintains memberships with NASW (National Association of Social Workers), AAASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) and the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.
